I'm on LiVEJOURNAL again.

visit my livejournal

Silly things people do when they're, ahem, in love. I was bit by the web-log/ blogging bug when a then very special friend introduced livejournal to me. I switched to Blogger, for no apparent reason, then jumped into the Multiply bandwagon, and yet again went back to Blogger, and then back to Multiply, and WordPress came along, and now, this. This is my new home, a.k.a my 6th blog site (too bad not all of them still exists). I seriously do not know what to put in it. I'm having problems of filling up this Blogger account na nga eh, tapos gumawa pa 'ko ng bago. Ang sipag mo, Chris. Not.

Oomph.

So I guess I really have to do my home work now. Multiply's acting up on me. Every time I log on to the site, there's this display message saying that there weren't any updates from any of my contacts since my last visit. Also, I tried posting new things but they don't appear on my site. This thing started late last night after Multiply finished its maintainance procedure, which as they say, is done to further improve the services provided by the site. Now really. Go on, maintain your face.

I'm pissed off.

2.2 lbs in one week, baby.

I know it might not be a lot, but 2.2lbs worth of weight loss in a week is an achievement for me. Haha. Bring on the oatmeal and the bananas!Anyway, I'm blogging not because I have stories to tell, but because I've nothing else to do. I've logged on about three hours ago and I've managed to do the following already.
  • Check on my Friendster.
  • Check on my Multiply.
  • Check on my MySpace.
  • Check on my Facebook.
  • Check on my Wordpress.
  • Clear all unwanted messages from my 3 e-mail accounts.
  • Watch Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 live streams (technically not "live" anymore because the guy uploads it around two hours after it was first shown over the PDA's internet site).
  • Visit Pinoy Exchange Forum for Cris Pastor (the main reason why I am so hooked on Pinoy Dream Academy right now).
Okay. I know, I'm jologs. I'm highly attracted to Cris Pastor. Haha. Smitten. Haha.

This post is going nowhere, really. Might as well end it.

With a photo of Cris Pastor I got from the Pinoy Exchange Forum. Haha.

It's Official.

It's Midterm Week for UPLBians, although some might have already taken some of their exams last week. I had my Eng10 midterm exam last Thursday, and I'm confident enough that I'll pass. I'm not sure about my Botany20 exam though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyway, tomorrow will be the busiest Monday of my first semester. Look here.

  • 9:00am - 12:00pm : Botany 110 Make-up Lecture Session (Three hours. I know. Sigh.
  • 1:00pm - 4:00pm : Botany 110 Laboratory Session (Report still ain't done.)
  • 4:00pm - 6:00pm : UP Main Library (for homeworks, and final browsing of notes for...)
  • 6:00pm - 8:00pm : Statistics 1 Midterm Exam (The only option is to pass.)
  • 9:00pm - I could care less : EventsCom's scheduled posting of teasers.
Finish. The. Report. Now. Chris.

UPLB Street Jazz Dance Co.'s Orientation (AY 2008-2009)

We are inviting all bona fide students of UPLB ,who are interested to join our dance group, to come and attend our orientation for the school year 2008-2009. This event will help you get to know the group more and also know what you must do in order to become a member.

It'll be on August 14, 2008, 7:00PM at the Baker Memorial Hall, UPLB.

Oo, katulad ng ibang may mga orientation, may free snacks din kami. May mga dance numbers pa. Saan ka pa? O, kita-kita tayo ha?

Quicky.

I felt relieved after taking the English 10 exam. It was definitely a give-away. Oo na, mayabang ako. Haha. However, the Botany 20 exam was, err, I don't know. Yes, my dear readers, it was that bad. It's one of the hardest exams I've ever taken in the history of my stay here in UPLB. I'm to blame though, for not really studying last night and for trying to read all 50 pages of the included chapter in just 20 minutes. Who's the best procrastinator now, eh? Sigh. Babawi ako sa next exam. Okay, have to go. I need to study for a long exam tomorrow in Statistics 1.

Don't you just love quickies? :)

Verve: Style Xpressed

It's been a week since we staged our major production Verve: Style Xpressed and I still can't get over it (Yes, yes, I admit, Sir Joey. Haha.). I'm greatly in awe that we managed to put up an amazing show, of course with the help of wonderful people who shared their time, talents, skills, and passion with our group.

My experience with Verve is one for the books. The group went through a lot to achieve the realization of this anniversary concert. Trust me when I say that "dugo at pawis, at maraming luha ang nailabas para sa production na'to". I believe every moment we've shared in the course of this production somehow made us better individuals, a stronger team, and a tighter family.

For the first time, I can't seem to find words to relay to you guys what exactly transpired during our preparation and during the show itself. Haha. Even if I want to share every detail, I'm afraid I don't have enough time and that I'm too tamad to do so. Let me just make this entry a "thank you" one.

Thank You, Almighty Father for giving us this wonderful opportunity to give back to You and Your people all the gifts You've bestowed upon us. Our group may be big, but You'll always be our Big Man. Thank You for always backing us up and pushing us harder. May in everything we do, God be Glorified.

Thank you, Ma'am JoAnn Luna for sharing with us not only your time, but also a part of your life. Thank you for putting up with us everytime. We know you've sacrificed a lot for the group, and we're really, really grateful for all the things you've done for us. We love you, Ma'am J.Lu.

To the UPLB Street Jazz Dance Co.'s Alumni Association a.k.a, the Urban Elites, thank you for sharing this experience with us. It's nice to see the Kuya's and Ate's of this wonderful family. We hope you'd be able to visit "home" again in the coming days. Thanks for all the help regarding the production and artistic aspects of the show. We'll see you soon, alright?

To our sponsors, thank you very much for supporting our group. This production would not be possible if it weren't for you. Thank you for the trust that you have given our group. We look forward to working with you guys again.

To the guest performers (Enszo, talents inC, Nazty Boyz, Wyre Underground, UP Manila Indayog Dance Varsity, and UP Street Dance Club), thank you for taking the time to be with us on our special day. Thank you for grazing the stage with your wonderful performances. Till next time. :)

To the UPLB Thespian Circle, Mai, Micah, Rio, and DK, thank you for being patient with us. Thanks for guiding us with our first production. We'll miss the "quiet on the set" and "time check" lines for sure. Haha.

To our directors, Joys Serrano and Sir Joey Vargas, it was a pleasure working with you guys. Thank you for bringing out the best in each and everyone of us. We've learned so much from this experience. Kayo ulit sa next prod, ha? Haha.

To the resident members, what can I say? We did it! Feet on the ground always, ha? The whole production experience was awesome, but dancing and working with you guys made it phenomenal. More productions to come! I love you all! Training na ulit!

To all those who came and shared that special night with us, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. I hope you all enjoyed the night we especially prepared for. After all, the concert's main goal is to extend our gratitude to all the people who have supported our group ever since. Thank you so much for watching! We love y'all!

- Chris Belison :)
