Exactly.

Exactly one year ago, we were on our van driving home from my first competition, RX Rhythm and Street Year 6, which was held at the Decagon, in Silver City. It amazes me how time really flies. I can still remember vividly the day I auditioned (half-heartedly) for the UPLB Street Jazz Dance Co., and look at me now, I'm now considered as a senior member of not only the Competing Team, but also of the whole Clan. It's weird how that one year gave me so much memories and experiences which in one way or another, made me a better individual, not only on the dance floor, but also on a "normal" basis. Haha. I don't regret anything, except maybe for letting my academics take a back seat whenever we have gigs and compets, but still, all in all, the past year was quite a good run.

Exactly one day from now, it'll be my Mum's 50th birthday. I'm excited for my mom, because I believe God has much, much more plans for my Mum (including the part where my Mum would not be so afraid of riding airplanes anymore, thus, world tour, here we come). Haha. Only one problem though, I still don't have a gift for her. It should be special, really, because it's her time for the big five ow. Argh. Think, think.

Exactly one hour ago, I started this entry. An hour has passed and I believe this entry's end should come now. I have nothing to write anymore. I've ben pulling all-nighters since last week and I believe the stress is busting all of my neurons out.

I need sleep.

So much for a Saturday night.

This particular Saturday would have been as boring as the previous ones if it weren't for the rehearsals we had earlier for the upcoming concert slash production by the Philippine AllStars. Entitled "Coreographer'z Birth", the show will be showcasing some of the most promising choreographers here in the PI to date, including our very own Athea Baraquio. See poster below.

Anyways, tiresome as the word "rehearsal" sounds, the practice we had earlier was highly elated and filled with snickers and grunts. All were excited to finish up the routine and I can say we're all ready to hit the stage this coming Saturday.

Athea Baraquio y'all!!! (L) Athea with Edith, conceptualizin'(R)

Brown Ranger and Black Ranger (Ate Rej and me)

Kuya Louie (T) Deo,Ate Maris, and Mariel (B)

Yes I know. Caps aren't for me. Haha. I look weird.

As of writing/typing this, news came that we need to attend the TechRun (Technical Run/Rehearsal) in Ateneo, this coming Tuesday. I'm not sure though if we'll be able to go, first, because we haven't really performed the routine with all of the eleven dancers present, and second, money's always been an issue with things like this (transportation,food,etc.). I'm hoping though that we'd make it on Tuesday, even if that means missing out on another date with my Mom (We're supposed to take a stroll in Serendra and maybe in TriNoMa. Sigh).

It's official, my Saturday night is uneventful as compared to my Saturday daytime. Think it's better to stay in and spend time at home? Nah, especially when some of my cousins and some friends are all going to Jaipur later. They'd be dancing and drinking and partying and I'll be, uhm, straining my eyes with my computer and tv. How 'bout that eh? So much for a Satruday night.

what i felt when i saw myself on tv?

Nothing, really.

Sure I felt all giddy inside and "hey look mommy, nasa tv kami!" proud but after a few seconds of staring, it was just like watching another performance of ours caught on video. (Yeah. This time with zooming cameras with uber high quality; accompanied by flashing lights and tons of make-up.) Honestly, I felt dizzy watching the whole thing, much thanks to the numerous angles that the cameras panned in. Oh well, the magic of television.

expect nothing but random blabbings

Ain't it funny why I haven't been posting a lot lately? I guess I was just too focused with the competition and other things (other things meaning trying to get enough rest, extra cash, and other what nots). So anyways, here's a rundown of what had transpired during my semi blog leave.

House mates. Yeah, you heard (or read) it right. I officially have a house mate now. DK's been renting a vacant room in our house since last Monday, and Roy also stayed here for the duration of the RX preparations. So ganito pala pag may house mates. Haha. Magulo, pero masaya kasi I have people to talk to.

We lost. Amp. I must admit that I had high hopes for the Clan but nevertheless, I'm glad UP Indayog won, and mind you, for the second time! Woot! Go UP Manila! I remember typing something retelling my experiences during the day of the competition itself, too bad I forgot where I saved it, or if I really did save it. Tss. Basta the whole experience was a bliss. Never to be forgotten, siyempre dahil first competition ko yun. To the Clan's competing team, much love and respect to you guys! Looking forward to many more "projects" with you guys!

Anyways, congratulations to the winners of RX 93.1 Rhythm Street Dance Competition Year 6!

Champion: UP Manila's Indayog Dance Varsity (Woot! Back to back champions! Kuya ER, penge copy ng pics!)
1st Runner up: Mapua Breakers
2nd Runner up: Holy Spirit (sorry, di ko alam name ng school talaga eh)
San Mig Stomping Champion: UP Diliman's UP Street Dance Club (Woot!)

Okay,tinatamad na ulit ako.

you might be single but you're not, and you'll never be alone..

haha.i got that phrase from a tv commercial in some channel and i mentioned it to one of my friend who sadly is experiencing the havoc of a recent break-up.it makes sense naman, diba?

anyways,i had a rough week.stress came from all over, but majority of it was from the clan.talk about being in demand.haha.i'm afraid the eyeliner we put on for every performance won't be washed away.haha.every night na ata, minsan twice a day pa kailangan maglagay.crap.going back, i mentioned to someone how street jazz gives me tension and adds up to my stress ors.good thing my academics are in somewhat good shape.but still, i shouldn't rest on my laurels.the semester's nearing its end i need to pull up my grades pa.sigh.

hay.now i can rest.

(until tomorrow lunchtime lang,we have rehearsals for the routine we'll be using for the university's centennial celebration next week)

sigh.

missin' you.
